You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

that's what i was trying to figure out too.

I've been shopping for a truck too and I can't believe the prices. You need all the BS $9-12K cash incentives to get MSRP back to what it should have cost in the first place.

Seems like a fairly base (xlt) F150 supercrew with no options is $38k. If the toyota with 4x4 and bro package is 37, that's a good deal. Isn't the toyota the worst on fuel though?

Used prices are even worse. Especially on raptors. Fuck you, 45k for a 3 year old truck with 50k miles.

Yeah.. I'd love a new truck / SUV but no way I am paying that much for one.

I financed 34 for a 4x4 cloth seated STX. It's pretty much option less and still stickered at 43

I've looked at the basic F-150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab and can't find them less than $37K. The Tundra does have the worst fuel mileage but I like that they hold value over most any trucks of the same type.

I paid $12k for my '05 Suburban Z71 a few years ago, and have already gotten my money's worth, IMO.

I will buy something newer, maybe even in the next year, but will be looking at used only, and would likely keep the price under mid-$20k (Would like a Wrangler Unlimited or FJ Cruiser, so my price range had to increase a bit from the Suburban price).

RIght there with you. When I bought my truck, You could get a brand new 05 4x4 d2500 diesel auto from grapevine dodge for $29,999. They had at least 10 to choose from. I drove one of those when It looked like I wouldnt be able to get my brother's truck from the finance co.

I also strolled into the dealership at 4 pm on 12-31-14. I think that helped seal the deal.

probably not a much as you think it would, since Fiscal Year end isn't always the same as calendar year end

I paid 23k for a 3 year old F250 FX4, fully loaded other than NAV, with "high" mileage. The only thing i've had to do was remove the DPF, and have the oil cooler replaced. other than that, it's been a solid truck over the last 4 years.
