Mines not bad at all. 17 hwy, 15 city, and that's with the 5.7 v8. My 2012 has been a great truck, no issues. Just oil changes and tires.

I really like the fuel mileage you get with the New F150's but just feel that the Tundra reliability down the road is a little better and I plan on keeping the truck for a very long time.

My buddy purchased a new F-150 a few months back. Spoke with the sales guy that sold him his truck and he said he could get me a good deal on a New 2015. Here is what he came up with. What do you fellas think?

          New White 2015 F-150 Super Crew 4x4 with FX4 Sport Package (V8).

          MSRP - $52,190
Sale Price - $38,750 plus TTL

            Shopping For New Tundra

I paid $33k for my 13 F150 EB SC with bro wheels and lift last year. Had 18k miles. It's been a good truck. I will be giving it to my oldest next year and get a newish F250.
Ugh. Damn kids grow up too fast. I've been on this site longer than he's been alive.

As far as the "deal" in the OP...if you're comfortable with the purchase, then what difference does it make what other people think? Buying a brand new vehicle is rarely smart, but you earn the money so get what you want.

Having a hard time deciding between a New Tundra or F150. About the same price. Plan on keeping the truck for a very long time. Which do you fellas think will have the least problems down the road?

My 2012 fx4 about to turn 100k with zero problems and my 2013 fx2 has 75k with zero issues both eco boost . We will see how long these last, the fx4 is my work truck and hauls a 200 gallon spray rig in the bed daily, with weight of sprayer that's 2k in the bed and hauls as good as my 05 dodge 1 ton crew cab 4x4

Prices on new vehicles are ignorant, have been for awhile, and are only getting worse. When I saw $50+ on a new Explorer, I just had to laugh.

Right there with ya. Wife liked the explorer sport but when we saw pricing with the options we wanted i started looking around. If we were going to spend that much i wanted to see what other vehicles were priced close. Ended up with a new lexus gx460 for 5k more. I think that was a no brainer for long term ownership.

I'm sure the ecos are good but i just don't like them. I would bet there is a higher % of ecoboost vs v8 with problems.

Thanks. But raking up the pine straw and cones every week sucks.

Would you guys be concerned that the power train on the Tundra is pretty much back from 2007 or that the new F150 I'm looking at is a 2015 and not the 2016. It's the 5.0L.
