Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

What seems silly to me are the jacked up mall-crawlers with "just make it taller" lift kits and huge rims/less tire, so they are actually less capable off-road than they were from the factory. But, to each his own. It doesn't appear to be a trend that will die any time soon.
I plan on keeping mine for a very long time. It's insane what new ones are going for.

New truck prices are nuts. Hell used ones are too. I've been looking for the last year for a clean 06-07 crew duramax 4x4 with low miles and the nice ones are still pushing $30k. I've kinda talked myself out of it at this point since I drive so much it would have "high" mileage in no time. About the only way I could justify one is a second vehicle and then a little 4cyl taco for a daily. But those things are 20k new....
At this point I'm going to drive my silverado to 300k and then get a brand new one to do the same.

Right now I think a great buy is the 04-05 Tahoe's with 130k miles for the $7-8k range. I have seen a few as low as $5k. They bring about 60% of what the equivalent silverado's bring it seems like.
I sold my 04 earlier this year with 97,000 miles, loaded silverado, for $15.7 and had a ton of calls on it. Anything older and under 100k miles is gold. I'm trying to line up a more base model 04 with 95k miles for under $11k. My schedule and his aren't lining up but I could flip it for a couple G's with a quickness.
