Anyone else get charged for Turbo Tax? I paid 30 or whatever dollars for the upgraded filing and they charged me that and a "processing" fee of 30 or so bucks.Originally posted by Cmarsh93zDon't Fuck with DFWmustangs...the most powerfull gang I have ever been a member of.

I didn't read the thread, but here's my 02 cents.
I use a CPA and he charges me a flat rate (relatively simple return - married filing jointly, we both work + I do 1099 contract work on the side, meaning I write off my cell phone and portions of my house payment, utilities, vehicle expenses, etc.).
I used Turbo Tax several years in a row before I used this guy - so, as usual, I bought Turbo Tax and it said I owed a huge amount (I always owe because I pay tax on my 1099 earnings at the end of the year). It was higher than usual so I found someone - he did my taxes and saved me about 15% of the amount Turbo Tax said I owed. It was well worth the $120 he charges me.

It cost me $60 this year. It's not a percentage. It's a flat rate fee of $30 to file, then I guess they or the government just started charging $30 if you do direct deposit.
