I've used the H&R Block and TurboTax software and I prefer TurboTax. I have a mortgage, wife, kid, stock transactions, etc and it's pretty friendly to use.

Honestly, H&R block is a bunch of idiots who try to fill in blanks with numbers and try different boxes untill the computer doesnt error out. I used turbotax this time around. Supposed to get money back but Im sure the govt will keep it to cover old student loans my wife had
Just go to turbotax and it will ask you questions, suggest a version of their software then when you finish you just pay the amount you would usually pay in the store unless its basic then its free.

I have used TT for 10 years. I got my wife to do her taxes last year before we got married and she was able to follow the directions. She was scared that she couldn't do it. She said it was easy. She use to use HR block.class joke
