Just out of curiosity which beers do you consider good beers? Shiner Bock is as good as i've found so far. Wouldn't mind trying other's favorites to find out if there is better, or if we just have different tastes.
My go-to is Fat Tire. I like ales, I like amber ales specifically (hence love for Fat Tire)
Breckenridge Amber Ale is awesome, Small Batch 471 IPA is good.
Flying Dog, Fancy Lawnmower, Rahr Ugly Pug can be obtained at Tom Thumb.
Sam Adams Octoberfest and Winter Ale are good seasonals you can find locally.

I was not so fortunate last Friday night when a buddy bought me an Arrogant Bastard Ale. It comes out in a 22 ounce bottle, and I'm pretty sure it'd eat the paint off all my cars. I hope you all don't have the misfortune of having it. I did manage to drink most of it, my buddy had some, since I didn't want to waste his money.
You should try the double bastard ale, you'll hate it twice as much! It's definitely not a Budweiser.
Personally I've only had a hand full of beers I didn't care for at all. Corona and Tsing Tao were both foul, not worth drinking. Barena was just a Honduran version of Corona, wouldn't order it again. Bud Select 55 is terrible, worst beer on the planet. It's literally like watered down Bud Light with some piss mixed in.
I'm not a beer expert like some folks here but I know what I like. I love the Arrogant Bastard but the Double Bastard is a little harsh still. Rogue Dead Guy is great, a little easier than the Arrogant Bastard but nearly the same alcohol content.
Right now I'm on a Belgian Ale kick but they are $$$$, Guinness is still my standby.
I don't mind Shiner, but if there is a reasonable selection on tap I will usually choose something else. I really enjoy Fat Tire. I love IPA's, my favorite is Full Sail IPA, followed closely by their Pale Ale.
I like wheat beers (American, not German), Ales, IPA's and some Lagers.. Not a big fan of stout beers, or anything German typically.
I like Shiner Bock, and most of the seasonals. I used to grab a 6er of Blonde for summers around the pool, but one day it gave me a headache, and ever since it is almost an instant headache when I drink one. Its not that great of a loss, either way. I may try the blonde light, but I am not going so far as to buy more than one...
The Shiner 101 is pretty good, and the Dunkle they had out was great. Im not a fan of the Kolshe (however they spelled that) though. I absolutely love Black, and it makes a great marinade.

With the exception of Cooter, you people have no clue about Beer. You're all a bunch of Lager lovers with no clue as to what the Ale offers.
Unfortunatly, we live in Texas. We have one of the most b-ass-ackwards Beer/Wine/Ale laws in America and it's not going to change because it beneifits the Macro breweries (Bud, Coors, Miller, etc.) that you all know so well. They own/control most of the distributors, whom have millions in the pockets of our state politicians to keep it stupid.
I laugh when people bitch about craft beer prices when the alcohol content in most all craft beers is almost, if not more than, twice the alcohol content. So when the point of drinking beer is to get buzzed, you don't have to buy/drink as much craft beer than macro. You get just as much "bang" for your buck with something that tastes better.
It's so sad because Texas is the 2nd largest beer consumer in the Nation but one of the worst markets in the nation in Craft Beer sales.
Being from CA, I tend to like more hoppy beers. I mostly drink pale ales, IPAs, ESBs, etc. I haven't really acquired a taste for most of the Texas brewed beers and I have tried just about all of them. I have had over 1000 beers but West Coast and German beers are my favorite. As far as American brewed stuff, my favorites come from Lagunitas, Mendocino, Sierra Nevada, Mad River, etc.
