$1100/yr with Liberty Mutual. Its an old house so it is higher than a new house. You guys should check out Liberty Mutual...they had the best rate by far when I was shopping. They are pushing into the DFW area hard according to my bank who recommended them. State Farm wanted $2100ish and I have my auto through them.

Looks like I should check with liberty mutual, Safeco, and farmers.

My hood too far for ya?

We are around $1400 a month and I am sure I could negotiate it down but I have high coverage on our belongings. We are using Farmers for house only.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I thought about it. I like your neighborhood. I think your hood might be a little out of my price range. I told the CEO of my company I was looking for a new house and he told me to speak with him before signing a contract. Apparently might promote me to a new region so I might be buying a house in Austin, who knows.

I use local company called TWG Insurance to find me a low rate. Like Progressive they check everyone's rates and give you the lowest. They have a one time fee of about $100. 2400 sq ft house near WRL. Last year I paid $1100 for both home and 1 auto. This year they raised it to $1500 with the addition of a truck. The insurer is State Auto. I have the bare minimum on everything.

Without the addition of the pickup it would have only raised by $100 to $1200. I was still pissed and called TWG to recheck rates. I called twice and spoke with 2 different people because I thought they were lying. But they both said State Auto was still the cheapest. Hope this helps

Damn! 2% on a roof replacement from hail damage would make me dirty my drawers. $6k out of pocket on a $300k house? I went to 1% and have been pissing and moaning ever since.

We have a friend who is an agent for Allstate and recommended us to try liberty mutual. Allstate has raised prices and people are running according to her.

Sup Tim it's been a long while lol...How you been?

I actually have liberty mutual right now, rates are pretty good...but I've already quoted everything at Allstate and as well as others with liberty and honestly rates aren't very far off. The key thing to get the best tier rating and biggest and I mean HUGE discounts is continuing prior coverage with the same provider. Also Allstate has introduced a really good new home product with pretty competitive rates. Rating from what I've learned is a whole different ballgame from the independent and Non-standard market. Allstate has already introduced a Non-standard product as well to offer if a customer doesn't qualify for their standard product.

I've been running quotes these past 2 weeks and I've seen several peoples quotes with exact comparable coverages save anywhere from 6-900$/year on their auto and home.

There are a ton of rating factors that come into play into how each individual companies calculates their rates and discounts.

                          I just switched

2000 sq ft through Nationwide jumped from $1300 to $1700 0 claims

                          Allstate wanted $1461

Geico gave me the best deal at around $1360 a year and I have my vehicles with them which also got a discount. Lots of inusrance rates jumped from what Im being told.

Geico home is through Liberty Mutual which can be cheaper if you go direct rather than though Geico who resells. I originally got quoted through Geico who quoted $1300 and went direct to Liberty Mutual and it was $1100
