we went with Texas Farm Bureau Insurance, tweeked a few deductables and got it down to 800

my wife for 43 years handles it all
Tweaking deductibles may not be worth saving a couple hundred bucks a year.

I have a modest 1500 sq ft home I bought new in 09. Allstate just informed me that I'm going up from 930 to 1130 a year. I read through here it seems everyone here has a home much larger than mind so I couldn't tell for sure but, am I getting hosed? It seems ya'll pay about the same for larger homes, pools etc. I bought my home for 138k btw

1400 sq ft built in 57, have 3 vehicles and the house with state farm. I overinsured by quite a bit and with a 5k deductible the homeowners is about $600 a year.

I am looking between 2 companies. One has a 1.5% for hail and the other 1%. The 1.5% has a cheaper rate and it would take 5.5 years to break even on the rate /deductible. Whats the average time until my roof is destroyed?

~1200/yr with safeco, 2400 sq ft in Frisco. Have cars with them, and it's about 1200/yr for the two vehicles as well.
