  • 1985 Chevy C10

I've been looking for a mid 80's C10 & came across this one. It's a 1985 with a rebuilt 350 & 700 Trans. Pretty much stock. Paint is a little dull but from the pics the body looks pretty straight. Tires will need replacing soon too. Haven't seen it in person yet but plan on it this weekend. Seller is asking 6K for it. Don't know a whole bunch about these trucks although I have always wanted one for my next project. What do you guys think? I'm not sure if it is worth the 6K the seller is asking.

What all you plan on doing to it if you buy ? I have been wanting an 81-87 model for a long time, still looking for one . I like the 4 eye look of those years.

Those trucks are going for around 8k in excellent shape. I would say, if it runs good, and is clean inside too. 6k would be a stretch. I would think 5k would be a real fair price.

Thats not a silverado. Its a scottsdale or work truck. Should be priced 5k or less for condition. Clean though.

Look at the headlights. The silverado had two full size headlights stcked for low and high beam and the lower models had one full size headlight with blinker/park directly under it

That color will hurt the resale for you later down the line....and should be hurting him on it right now too. Not saying I hate it, but a lot of people won't take a second look....so it's going to take a particular type of buyer. If you like it, that's what counts but just be mindful of how it will work out one day when you are ready to sell it (and factor that into what you are willing to pay for it).

I'm in agreement with the comments above....no more than $5K...unless it's got a G hidden under the carpet or something.

Nevertheless, cool truck...always liked those gen SWB. Nice to see one with the right bumper on the rear instead an ugly roll pan.

I never understood the roll pan fad either. A chrome bumper looks 10 times better than a shitty roll pan.

No one said it was a Silverado, seller included. And as far as that goes I didn't read where the OP was looking for that particular trim package.

I never said anyone said anywhere that anyone said it wasnt. I stated pretty plainly that it was not therefore it shouldn't be a 6k truck. Its a plain jain truck. Nice but not 6k nice. No need to try to pick a arguement over nothing.

After some of the shit I just saw on Craigslist, 6k is not a bad deal if its clean inside the cab and all there. 5k would be a good deal.

It was just a simple misinterpretation.
