This makes me want my 83 short bed back.. It had factory black interior. I was a dumb ass and traded it for a mini truck.

Any other pics? Motorbay and bed floor pics would make it way easier to determine a value.

The flat green would make a "good guide coat" or base so he can block it out good before you spray the gloss black on it, well thats what I would do anyways.

But I dig the green too, I once had an old INS suburban that was border patrol green. I drove it on a ski trip to Beaver Creek you should have seen the looks we got along the way.

Check the rear main seal too. Those things suck

There is a 85 C10 that a local kid is selling & went to see it. It has a poor paint job done it when ever it was done. There is some rust but didn't look too bad. Has a 350 that was leaking oil, couldn't tell from where. The dash has to be replaced. But he wants 2K for it. Wondering if it would be better to pick that one up & spend the extra 3K on getting the body done right & painted. Only thing I didn't like was that I could tell he takes it to the beach cuz there was sand on the frame. What do you guys think?

Find one person that thinks those are good prices. Please. My truck is in ten times better shape and I wouldn't ask 6 grand for it. They won't sell at those prices, not the two rustbuckets at least. That's fact.

Looks to be the Suburban front clip to me. It's a very popular swap for those trucks.

Its cheaper to buy the nicest truck you can afford NOW rather than a cheaper truck and try to fix it

$3k doesnt go very far with paint/body. You might get a straight truck with a Maaco paintjob. Rust is the biggest problem. Id honestly rather spend $7k now on a really nice truck than even think about a $2k truck. The $2k truck should just be a beater

You can pick up a decent LWB for pretty cheap.

Well I hope that the truck looks as good in person as in the pics. I'll be heading up there Saturday with some cash. If it is as good as he says it is then I will throw out an offer & see if I can pick it up for less than 5K.

This. Scottsdale Suburbans came with the same front end, but there are FAR more Silverado Suburbans on the road than Scottsdales.
