Write out flashcards/notecards as you do the initial read. I passed the cfa doing this and practice questions. Are you talking about the series 6 and 63? I just had to do a bunch of those licensing tests for work and thought the tests themselves were incredibly basic. Good luck!Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

What I do-
Read through the material you need to learn, highlighting the important points. After you are done, write the important points on flash cards with a buzzword on the front of the card (the part with no lines).
After you have the info on cards, quiz yourself by cycling through the cards and trying to recite what is on the other side by looking only at the buzzword. This has helped me tremendously and is how I study for all of my tests. It may be a bit juvenile, but hey, it works!Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

Repeat, repeat, repeat. Like the flash cards, I could just skim a section 2-3 times and retain enough to pass the test. My friends in the insurance industry said that their managers immediately told them to forget everything they learned for the test right after they passed it because it doesn't really apply to the industry.

another vote for flashcards. for the one's you have trouble with try making mnemonic devices so something will spark your brain when you see the clues and it will be easier to remember. An invasion of armies can be resisted, but not an idea whose time has come.
