All right, I can deal with that. I wouldn't recommend modifying what you've got, in that case. I'd try and save a little more money, and trade up. There's no reason to throw good money after bad on a gun that isn't right. You're better off just getting a gun that's a better choice for you. Either way, in the future, you should try to rent a gun before you purchase it. A ton of ranges in the metroplex rent guns of all kinds.

Because if I remember correctly you're not of age to purchase a handgun. I'd hate to knowingly aid a criminal.

          18. Which makes me within legal boundaries to purchase a handgun in a ftf sale.

Yeah. Just happened to come across a good deal. I'll make money on it if I sell it, but With the motor issue I don't have money to throw at it. Just hoping I could make it work for a while even if I have to mod a $30 mag.

Mostly, the originals were a big let down. They all got great reviews in the magazines, and what hit the street was sloppy, poorly constructed guns. If the one you have now is nice and tight, and everything is well machined (I promise it isn't - have you taken it apart yet), great. Past that, you appear to have an ergonomic issue, and that's a wonderful reason (that has nothing to do with quality, but has everything to do with accuracy) not to buy the gun in the first place.

Perfect. Now that you've figured out how to google for information, you should be able to google how to modify a magazine.

Dont feel bad. I bought a sigma .40 in november. Looked great and felt good but shot like crap. Traded it in on an XD45 2 months later. You dont realize what a night and day difference between it and a good gun until you start shooting good guns.

Lol. Am I a bad person for furthering my knowledge of the law? shoot me for taking the initiative to find out whether or not I could buy and own a handgun....

                        Are you stupid?

If you know how to use google to find out what the restrictions are for purchasing a handgun, then you should be able to figure out how to modify a magazine.

I shot a whole mess of stuff this weekend, and I 100% realize that something new would do me much good. I'll get a glock or an XD when I have the $$$, but for now I'm stuck with the SD, and since I'll be stuck with it for a while, might as well try something to make it work for now.

You think I didn't look around for ways to mod a mag? lol. Sigma and Sd's dont have any extenders, and I couldnt really find anything about how to make one specific. I didn't know if anyone here had made one before, or if they had any tips to help me out. Can I not ask advice from those that have probably " been there, done that?"
