Buy a better gun. It doesn't have to be bigger, though.

I would point you onto the path of figuring it out... but since you bought a gun that you didn't like the ergonomics of, and you deny that it's a Sigma, thus keeping you from Googling Sigma magazine modifications, I think I'll refrain.

Because it isn't a sigma. Even s&w says so. Sure it is closely designed, but almost everything is different. There are hardly any bad reviews on it.

The whole thread was about a question. If you don't have a solution then go waste oxygen somewhere else.

Jesus fucking christ. If you had half of a fucking clue you'd be able to realize that the magazines are likely the same as a model that is 90% the same and has been selling for almost a decade, and that someone has probably adapted a currently existing part to do what you want to do.

Even if they have not modded something to fit the sigma, a little time with a dremel and many of the currently available magazine extensions fit other models. Seriously, they're magazines. Not rocket science.

Call it what you want to. That's what S&W's marketers are paid to do. The fact remains it's a Sigma where it counts, and that's in the overall architecture of the pistol. Further, can you tell us what reason you bought it, other than it was cheap? If you're going to make bad decisions, be prepared to deal with the consequences, one of which is criticism of the decisions themselves. Don't get all defensive when we tell you something is a bad idea, when in fact it is a bad idea.

"Just so there is no confusion…the SD40 is not a Sigma. *It is a very impressive new pistol. *I enjoyed reviewing it, and I will be buying the sample I got to shoot."

"I don't really see how the "It's just a Sigma!" line of argument can really carry much weight anymore."

What are you quoting from? Link? Remember that the vast majority of magazine/online articles from professional journalists are puff pieces, paid for by the manufacturers. It's just like car magazines. They're paid to like the new shit the gun companies are releasing.

You're showing your ass here, and I've flat out told you how to solve your stupid fucking problem after you've made your obviously foolish purchase of a gun that doesn't fit what you want it to do.

                        Three links posted.

I'm not trying to be a dick. I was looking for a cheap reliable handgun. I picked it up for $300. It's light, 14round mag, tritium night sights, an had very good reviews.

The gun is just a bit to small for my hand. Something that wasn't tremendously apparent until I shot it this weekend.

Someone tell me what's bad about the gun. There are plenty of members on here that like even the original sigmas, and this, even if a " sigma" is far improved.
