            I'm with you on that, if you have that kind of money to spare then by all means. I will say this, he spent 3 weeks traveling with close to $10K in camera gear, I can understand wanting a little more than just a Lowepro type of case.

                You can make a hot wire setup with a battery charger, some wood and a wire. VERY easy to make one.

                        The only problem with pelican cases outside of the cost, is the weight. But if I am flying you can bet your ass my shit will be in as large a pelican case as I can get.

                        Also consider that you can sink thousands in just an optic much less the rifle it is mounted to. What is $250 at that point?

                          I'm guessing you know this, but if you shop around you can find them used for fairly good prices. Bought mine for 100 (1750) from some guy in FTW and I use it for airline travel.

                              I haven't had much luck with that kind of prices. All the stuff I want in pelican cases is gigantic and I have trouble finding cases that size.
