Finally getting back to some progress..... Tile is going in, and they just dumped all of the cushion sand to pour the deck so that should be in the next week.
How long does it take, from start to finish? I'm really considering putting one in.
Signed contract early-mid January, broke ground Feb 8th, am told I have about 3 weeks left, so right at 2.5 months.
I was told initially from the get go it was 8-10 weeks depending upon weather and other aspects, and even though I've changed a few things during the process, we will be right at 10 weeks.
It's been a good experience for me with Hauk. I have a few neighbors who will say the same, and a few that have issues with the other predominant player - Gold Medal.
Either way I have a newer, younger sales guy that designed it for me, texts often and responds regardless of the day, so I have nothing but good things thus far.
I like the coloration of that tile. Going to be badass man, I'm super jealous. Putting in a pool is the one insanely crazy and expensive thing I really want to do to this house. Seems like you can't even touch one for under 30k.

That's not bad. I figured it would be in the 8-week range...how are they on price? Did you get a few numbers?

Back in the early 2k's, you could get one like I have for about 10k. Now you might still, but the cool options that make having a pool easier and more fun add up quick.

Thanks a lot, we like it, and can't wait for it to warm up so it can be put to use... I think a basic hole in the ground starts at $30k

Yeah, I got the design from Hauk and sent it to the other guys with specs and Hauk was the most willing to negotiate. I think you'll find that they are all comparable to each other, it was just a matter of who wanted by business more by being responsive and attentive.

Shit even 10 years ago they were $20k.... for one that would actually add any value to a house, that is...

True story.
