Fortunately we have a corner lot so they aren't destroying the front yard and can just drive the heavy equipment directly into the yard instead of getting a bobcat to do the dig.
That has to be the biggest neighborhood ever. There's 28 phases (ok 5, but still).
This entire area is that way. What once was an appealing area is quickly losing any attraction by the overbuilding of moderately-upper-end-priced track houses. Traffic is shit, the roads weren't prepared ahead of time and then there is the headache of dealing with a transient community with constant turnover.
And holy shit are they stuffing this area with apartments. And from appearances, they love that section 8 money.
pools are great better then buying a boat. first year in this house and time to replace filter and booster pump.... back yard need a make over badly..... enjoy the pool

Spot on, Sean. We first bought in this area in 2010 and it was very appealing because you still had somewhat of a "country" feel with all of the open land, farming, crops, etc. Over the past 3 years they have brought in some lower cost builders that are cranking out as many like-minded plans as possible.
Talked with the wife and after the daughter is out of the house and off to school, we may just go to Prosper, but by that time I highly doubt it'll be any different.

Prosper is Mckinney/Frisco 2017. I don't know what the future holds at this point. The woman is taking on sugar-mama status so I can finish school. Once I'm done, I'll probably look at position out of the area, like far out. I wouldn't mind the Ft. Worth side, but think they are going through similar pains. I love hill country, but not sure I can deal with Austin as my base, and frankly, I'd like to go international for a bit.
I've also noticed a ton of arrogant fuckwads moving in this area as well. I miss Mckinney 1999 when it was about 20,000 and we had to go to Plano to do anything.

You're kidding yourselves. Prosper, Celina, and the surrounding areas are currently a boom town for residential development. Especially with DNT ending at 380, it's just too convenient for commuters to continue buying to the north, thus pushing land development higher in these areas. By that time, if you're still wanting semi-seclusion, then I'll bet you'll have to go much further north than that.
