Hell no. You see, I can talk to employers on my own without having to hide behind people more productive than me. My neighbor owns his own pipe welding business and is as anti union as I am. Also, his exact words "Obama can suck my nutsack that communist little bitch."

Honest question, Why do you need representation? If you do a good job, why would you need that? They can't fire you for no reason, they have laws. People get sued these days for shit like that so it makes it impossible. If you don't like your job, then you can find another one. I don't understand this mentality that you have to be babysat by a union. I work for myself, I don't need anyone watching out for me. The government is a great example of why I wouldn't. It's like growing up and moving out, cut the cord.

most of that is true, except we work up to 16 hours a day and anything after 8 is time and a half and anything over 12 is double time.. put yourself in those guys shoes.. would you rather make $21.75/hr and work straight time for 12 hours or make $30/hr and have those type of benefits.. you're self entitled

im not i've worked for 2 contractors out of the 13 total. but when you work hand in hand with people who get paid the same you start to earn a respect for the people that know what the fuck they are doing and you start to learn shit you wouldnt have learned on your own.. im an independent contractor too dude. my liscense number is 45026 on the tsbpe website, you can look that up and see it has no affiliations with anyone at all. that number is my money maker, the union's CBA just makes it that much more worthwhile.

That's fine and dandy for local work during normal hours and not under a state of emergency. This isn't a breaker box. I'm relatively certain that linemen from Alabama that fix local power line issues are more than capable of RESTORING POWER SO THAT PEOPLE DON'T DIE. It's already irking me that you think just because someone hasn't joined the Union means he's absolutely 100% unqualified to even fart in the same room as you...
