Maybe if it had occurred earlier in the year ya, they might have had more time to gel and feel each other out. Certainly the injury to Rondo didn't help either. But it's looking more and more to me like this trade was a bust.

As far as Amare, I really like him. I've liked him since his days in Phoenix with Steve Nash. I thought NY was a bad fit for him and I'm sure he just went there for the money, Carmello is such a cancer to teams IMO. I hope the Mavs do well enough to convince him to sign on after this season.

Plenty of excuses, just not any good ones.

The Cavs played pretty damn good last night, especially their outside shots. What hurt the Mavs were the turnovers and the second and third chance points they were giving the Cavs (lack of offensive rebounds). They have a damn good deep team and I think Lebron has a better team now than he ever did in Miami.
Yes that is what I was looking at. This Cavs team is very deep and it seems they are getting their shit together now.

They play the Spurs tomorrow so it will be a good gauge for both teams on where they stand. Spurs are playing a bit better now but nothing like last year.

It was pretty cool to see how everyone there watched it and cheered for him. He seemed genuinely touched. Pretty cool tribute.

Yeah...Leonard choked the game away from the line...Cavs will be coming out of the East...no way ATL can beat them in a 7 game series. Cavs are just to deep.

After a slow start to the season, the Cavs are coming back like a beast. Still can't understand why BronBron is saying he needs more rest before the playoffs begin.

              • Yeah I agree EJ..He's not carrying all the load like he use to with the Heat.

Speaking of the Heat, I'm happy to see they are in the eight seed right now and I hope they fall even further back. And yes I've hated the Heat since 2006

                          • That was a good game last night! But with Durant and Ibaka out, it wasn't a true test of what a playoff matchup might look like. It was nice seeing Westbrook foul out (and whoever the other guy was), it shows to me that the Mavs defense can clamp down on the opposing team and cause problems. Rondo and Chandler were particularly good last night.

That's two games in a row of spectacularly good play. I'm going to the Orlando game tomorrow and wish it was against a better team, but I'll take whatever I can get right now. Grizzlies Friday night should be a good test.

                            • I honeslty thing OKC plays better with Durant out for some reason.

My Spurs lost to the Knicks last night lol...
