They didn't have Tyson in there due to an ankle injury. He should be back after the All Star break. It came at a good time. Mavs sitting in 5th now, only a game out of 3rd. They need to start strong after the break to hopefully get home court in the first round. 3rd through 7th are so bunched up, a couple of losses can set you way back.

Things aren't looking particularly good for the Mavs right now having lost 3 of their last 4 games (and struggling to beat the Lakers at that). To many turnovers and injuries which are hurting the Mavs in multiple ways. It's going to be tough to pick up any ground in the standings these last few games considering how closely grouped they are. It's a double edge sword IMO, they can pick up ground if they get streaky but just as easily lose it if things go the other way.
The highlights since the All Star Break have been Aminu (went out injured last night and did not come back) and Stoudemire. Hopefully whatever Aminu is out with will be back in the lineup right away. I read somewhere last night that Stoudemire was upset with his teammates with the effort they put up last night. I think this is a good thing and hopefully lights a fire under everybody's to close out these last few games.

Yeah, Amare called EVERYONE out. Good for him.
Reports are Rondo hates it here and won't be back.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

As far as Amare, I really like him. I've liked him since his days in Phoenix with Steve Nash. I thought NY was a bad fit for him and I'm sure he just went there for the money, Carmello is such a cancer to teams IMO. I hope the Mavs do well enough to convince him to sign on after this season.

The Cavs played pretty damn good last night, especially their outside shots. What hurt the Mavs were the turnovers and the second and third chance points they were giving the Cavs (lack of offensive rebounds). They have a damn good deep team and I think Lebron has a better team now than he ever did in Miami.
