Am I reading this correct. Worried about gas mileage driving a v8 and modding it? If your worried about mileage have you considered another daily driver. I know someone with a vw diesel getting 600 miles to the tank.

Yes this is since the addition of the Trickflow 170 Heads & Cobra Intake and 30lb injectors

Once I bolt the S Trim on im upgrading the injectors to 42lbs & 90mm Mass Air Meter with Anderson Powerpipe

Oh and Robert really thinking about the Explorer cam since it was ground for SUVs, I remember driving a V8 Explorer & remember when I jumped on it I was like DAMN this thing gets up & Moves

Totally agree with you 100% about it not being light enough! In reality I should be happy with anything over 30mpg. I really want to get the TQ back down low in it for city driving and do 25mpg combined!

BTW my FRC got 32mpg all day on the Hwy! I do think with Underdrive Pulley & Elec waterpump a C5 could hit 36mpg Hwy all day long

I know 32mpg isn't uncommon on a vette, but I've never even head of a mustang that gets 30 (new technology not withstanding)

2.3t SVO, 425rwp, and the guy swears it will get 42mpg, and his trip was driving the length of FL at about 75mph. I have his recipe, plus a better head and better, more efficient turbo. I'd be ecstatic for 36mpg.
