Be easier and cheaper to pick up a fox if that's the case.

they are light, but body and interior parts are scarce. With it already being a 4pot, id opt for turbo 2.3 rather than a 302, it might actually be cheaper.

the v8 cars had a mII only small bell trans, funky headers (you have to pull the engine to put them on or off, motor mounts arent available readily.

They're fun cars, but there are a lot of M2 specific parts to watch for. Different diameter bellhousings for one thing. V8 header are either cheap (Heddman) and have the front tube on the passenger run under the crossmember, or expensive (Hooker) and fit like normal.

Front suspension can be rebuilt entirely from the Speedway catalog.

Rust under the battery tray is almost a given. That one looks rusty under the hood, so that almost ensures there's lots more. Inspect carefully.

Looks like a late model 2.3 too, which might not be a bad thing.

Check out http://www.mustangii.net/default.asp for everything you ever wanted to know about them.

If you're going to include 73, you may as well include 71 and 72 (which would be fine by me.)
