The steak and shrimp is my favorite. The only down side is paying $90 for myself and both boys to eat.
I go every two weeks. My favorite place.

I always get the special.... Steak, chicken & Shrimp with all of the goodies!!! Oh and a little bit of hot saki however you spell it.

Only if they cook that shit WELL done. A steak ain't a steak if you aren't slathering it in sauce and knawing each bite for ten minutes!

I'm thinking you might want to stick with Golden Corral.

Ran up a $250 tab in that place and only tipped the bitch $5 one night. She came chasing us down yelling "you not sign! you not sign!" pointing to the credit card slip. I was just so trashed to not realize that the friends I was with picked up the bill and I got the tip, so I told them to run my credit card for $5 so I could tip them. A few minutes later, the slips came back so I just tipped 100% -- $5 on $5. Whoops.
How do we forget ourselves? How do we forget our minds?

I used to go semi regularly until they shut down for renovations. I moved out to Rockwall and haven't been back since, I need to get back out soon.

My dad lived in Japan for 3 years and he agreed its pretty damn close to the real thing. I have been going there since the early '90s and for what you get its actually a pretty good deal.
I have twice...both in Waikiki and Charleston...and nope..it wasnt close to the real thing.

pretty much looks to be about the difference I noted...

The island dweller is right. Kobe Steakhouse is great. But, it doesn't hold a candle to real Kobe beef.

So, where in DFW can you get the real thing?

Honestly, around here, best bet is to order online and prepare it yourself. Sometimes Tei Tei Robata in Dallas has it (call ahead, their menu is always changing). Nick & Sam's used to, but I haven't been there in a good two years so I don't know if they still do. I suppose you could call and ask. I havent eaten any around here though.
