  • Kobe's ROCKS!

Just got back from the Kobe Japanese Steak House at Beltline/Dallas North Tollway and it friggin ROCKS!

The steak and shrimp is my favorite. The only down side is paying $90 for myself and both boys to eat.

Any place that has the name Kobe and does not serve actual Kobe steak is bullshit in my opinion. Last time I had good Kobe steak I had to pay $130 for the meal in Tokyo, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. They showcased the steak before hand (I never thought a Sirloin could be so beautiful) then hibachi style, cooked it in front of you (nothing more than a little salt and pepper on the meat). I have not had a steak since then that was so tender I could eat it with chopsticks.

I have never been to Japan, but if it gets better than this: http://www.dallasdinesout.com/restrant/k/kobe/kobe.htm
I would like to try it.

Man, that's just a little too rich for my taste. I couldn't enjoy the food as much, knowing that I'm about to pay for it.

We only go a couple of times a year. Trust me, I'm a tight ass and it is well worth it.

I miss out on too much in life for two reasons.

                    1. I'm a broke-ass.

                    2. I'm a cheap broke-ass.

You might want to try it before you bash it. Kobe Steaks is very good and since it has been in the same location for over 30 years I would say more than a few people agree. My dad lived in Japan for 3 years and he agreed its pretty damn close to the real thing. I have been going there since the early '90s and for what you get its actually a pretty good deal.

They do have Japanese ketchup, and the hot sauce is some killer shit. Your out of luck on the A1.
