He said he no longer has it? He already sold it.

"Chuck" won't return a kid's phone. Perhaps he needs persuasion.

Sounds like a good solution right there.

We did a little reading on this one day since there are varying opinions on lost or stolen property. There are several states that require someone to take a few steps before claiming owner ship of said property, however Texas is not one of them. Cell phones are a little different than most things since they have a ESN, and can be tracked. If located in our city we will at least make an attempt to deal with it in a civil fashion, the app is not 100 percent accurate. It really just depends on the situation. Yes people should reasonably know better, but really, people are shitty these days. If taken from your vehicle, where you were currently sitting (got up to pee), close to where you are etc, that's flat out theft. Leaving it at a cash register and coming back a hour later, not so much. Now if some one grabs it and starts making demands that's a different story.Whos your Daddy?

Ha! His phone must have been blowing up. The Mom posted an updated text conversation where he admits to still having it, but says he tossed the case at Six Flags. He is going to turn it in to some lost & found somewhere he claims, but he is really only doing so because it is useless to him (she bricked it remotely). The little shit.
No reward was offered by the owner, the person who found it just demanded a reward. of course that was before she bricked/locked whatever. I'll keep the thread updated.

Call pd, tell them this guy is in possession of stolen property....tell "chuck" meet up to collect his reward. Say 500 bucks tell him lots important stuff on phone you gotta have it back...call pd advise them gonna meet "chuck", when chuck arrives to do the exchange have pd waiting in distance. Text officer "chuck" is at spot with the stolen phone in his possession....cop roll in hook him up, you get your phone back..."chuck" takes the ride...how I usually catch um...take lil foot work but well worth the case,...but you gotta convince chuck to meet up with Ya.....good luck.
