One sheared at the base (Bradford pear) the oyher (some kind of oak) was twisted and mangled as if hair in a braid. FREE fire wood. About 1/2 a cord. I had to cut it but chain saw made easy and kind if fun work out if them. Will have to replace the roof and some other things but no major damage and the family made it through unscathed. Can't ask for much more than that.
Were you at McDonald's in Weatherford talking about this today? Random question but I was there using their wifi for work and heard a guy talking about something very much like what you just said

Batten down the hatches! Time for new paint job?

      http://dfwstormcenter.com/2015/04/20...n-and-evening/

Good afternoon everyone, as mentioned this morning, the risk for significant severe weather continues to increase, and at this point it looks like the risk of significant damaging winds and tornadoes is as high, if not higher than what we saw on Saturday Night. The following graphic shows what we are expecting at DFW Stormwatch for ALL of North Texas on Wednesday afternoon and evening, the basic point right now is that all of North Texas has the potential to see destructive winds of 80 MPH or higher, tornadoes, and very large hail, potentially larger than Golf balls. The important thing to note is that the location of the cold front, along with where the jet stream sets up is VERY important, especially in regards to significant damaging winds and tornadoes… the CAP is expected to be very weak and will shatter easily, thus this event has higher than 50% certainty at this time.

Looks like most of the DFW lakes are getting close. West and south of us look like shit though.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Not like they'll take the water restrictions away and lower water costs.

Although it's a great thing for recreation on the water...fishing, boating...etc

Lake Lavon is only 2.35 feet below the full pool of 492 feet. It should be full by the end of the weekend.

I kinda wish they would leave watering restrictions in place. For one, there are too many people that are being stupid when it comes to watering their yards. I have a couple people in my neighborhood that still water their lawns at around noon time in the middle of the summer. Most yards will do just fine with watering twice a week around 5am.

The other issue is the population explosion around here. It's great that thousands of new people are coming here every year but we haven't build a new water resovoir in decades. IMO we would be better safe than sorry by not wasting so much water on having a green yard.

Agreed. In the middle of all the wind and rain pouring down in buckets, my neighbor several houses down had his sprinklers going.
