I'm not reading that shit because I don't want to cry like a little girl here at work. I had to put one of my dogs down and I was there the whole time for her. They came and gave her the numbing shot and after that they gave me 15 minutes to spend time with her and talk to her. After that they came in the room and gave her the last shot. She went quick but yeah it was rough. I rarely cry but man... I sob like a little bitch when it comes to my pets.

I spent 5 years as a Vet Tech when I was younger....I've forgotten a lot about that job over the years, except for that part...the worst part of the job is unfortunately the part that I profoundly remember the most.
I've had to put 2 of my own dogs down in the years since...it leaves a scar that you carry the rest of your life, however we should be thankful to have a choice when it comes to ending their suffering.

Putting my BC Scully down last year was one of the worst days of my life. There's only been one other time in my life I have completely lost it like that, and it kept hitting me over and over at random times. It still does sometimes, even though I rescued another BC puppy. They are such amazing little dogs.

While its sad as hell and hard to read, I try to look at it as a beautiful thing. The dog came in to their lives from a shelter and they each brought each other so much joy. They didn't have long together but the years they spent together were happy, he was loved so much that a group of his friends got together and gave him one last awesome goodbye. That, is a great thing
