My best friend of 15 1/2 years. Still breaks my heart to this day. I was lucky enough to be there from feeding with an eye dropper as a puppy to laying on the floor with him as he was put down. I can't even describe how much I miss him.
I will go into hiding for a month or more when my dog passes
Our Catahoula Cur is going on 15 and we are going to go through this soon, he is blind, deaf and has arthritis.
Some days he plays like a puppy but more and more days he hardly moves.
I am not looking forward to it.
It was 13 years ago, I had to put my Doberman Shelby Down. I basically grew up with that dog. As we've had her for 16 years. It's still hard to think about.
OP. damn allergies.

Without my gun hobby. I would cut off my own dick and let the rats eat it...

NOt reading it either...Had to put down 2 awesome German Shepherds last year. Lost one after 8 months of tough surgeries and live ailment. 4 months, 4 hours later, I lost his sister to heart failure. I swear she died of a broken heart.
One of the worst weekends of my life waiting for that day. We had a vet come by to put Buddy down in the garage out back. I was too nervous being out there, so thankfully Jeff, my son, was with Buddy during his last time. It truthfully is a very hard thing to go thru, believe me.
Since Buddy, I had to put down our Lhasa Tootsie (she was very old) and one of Tootsie's pups, Bubbles. It doesn't get any easier, believe me.

Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.
