Isn't it faster to drive from DFW area to Midland?

It all depends how long you'll be there. 10 hours of driving for a 1 hour meeting is an assbeating of epic proportions.

From my house in Arlington it was right at about 3 hours to fly and 4 to drive by the time I left the house and got to midland. However going back was a lot shorter because back then you could get to MAF 30min before your flight and still make it easily. The flight is only 45min, Drinking at the airport waiting on a plane is a lot more relaxing then driving straight down one road for 300 miles lol.

Aren't the flights around $100 as well? I'm not sure you could drive it for that kind of money.

On Southwest if you need to book week-of to MAF then it will run you around $450 round trip. If you book 2+ weeks out then you can get as low as $99 each way for certain flights.

I spent over $200 in diesel driving to DFW and back just this weekend
