I never fly without taking a carry on with 1 days change of clothes. Don't want to take the chance the airline loses my luggage and I'm left with nothing.

This, plus any medicine,contacts and necessary toilet articles. Luggage gets lost.

I always wear slip on boots and take the minimum stuff possible. When I was flying from DFW to Midland fairly regular I could get through love field without even taking my belt off, but couldn't get out of Midland without being singled out or having my bag searched.

I have never once taken electronics out of my carry on bag. Load up the bins with the required shit (they make you take off hats too) and roll on.

Isn't it faster to drive from DFW area to Midland? With the time you have to take to get to the airport, check in, go throught security, wait to get on the plane, board the plan, wait for your turn to get on a runway, take off, land, get off the plane, get a ride to where you are going. Thats got to be more than 5 hours add all together. I used to drive from Midnald to Fort Worth every week, hate the drive and can see why people would rather fly, but the travel was shorter that way.
