heres a few projects i've done..

    this is the fence table..

coffee table on casters from an old shutter window with some 4x4's underneath..

we redid the wood in a trailer at work and i took this home to make a "potters table" stands about 36" tall, just used angle iron for the legs.

a friend-girl had me redo her moms table from her child hood. it was all wood with stains and such, almost 35 years old. i asked for artistic freedom and built a new base and "antiqued" the wood.

nice! I like the whole idea of re-purposing wood for furniture and stuff like that. It always looks way cooler than something you can just go out and buy.

Concrete weighs about 150lbs per cubic foot. It will be close to 400lbs.

Sandblasting has always worked well for me.

A neighbor up the street had a black walnut tree cut down, by the time I realized they were cutting it down, it was completely butchered, I'd have loved to had some of it to make something, but by that time there was nothing longer than 24" left.

I take shipping pallets and make outside picnic/patio tables from them, usually will break one down and use it to fill the spaces in on another one, use the cross pieces for legs, etc. They work well for a rustic look.

Right now I'm about to make a set of outside chairs from some 36"-40" red oak cross-cuts.

break up an SOS pad with distilled vinegar filled to the top of a spray bottle. let it sit over night. lightly scuff any laquers or finsh that may be on the wood and spray your little heart out. thats what gives the antiqued look i used. I learned it from a classic truck site, as part of the whole "faux-tina" craze.
