          We lived there/ I grew up there from 89-01 and it was great. Bit over crowded for my tastes however now. Saying that, we plan to move back to southlake in the next 2-3 years mostly because I can't convince my better half to live in the woods with me.

                      I grew up in Corpus, and traveled to San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels, San Marcos, etc.. all the time, you're pushing it at 3 and a half hours from there.

                      Now, you can probably make it to Port Lavaca in 2:45, but I wouldn't ask my worst enemy to go enjoy the coast in Port Lavaca.

                      And there's now way you make it to the water near Houston in that time, it takes an hour just to get from one side of Houston to the other.
