  • Free to good home..8yo Border Collie

I'm going to make it short....moved in with my mother when I lost my job. Her dog does NOT get along with my Border Collie (both males). It is creating a lot of tension in the house and I simply need to find him a new loving home. He is a great pet, housetrained, uses a dog door, current on all shots, and is fixed. I selected him from a litter of 9 and brought him home when he was 8 weeks old. Please don't attack my decision to find him a new home....I have my reasons. He is primarily an INDOOR dog and is very healthy. If anyone has any interest please PM me.

      Sure that's not a pit?

One of the board cops might give it a shot.

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Damn man! I have an 8 year old border collie as well, I could never dream of never seeing him again! You think you could find someone that could take care of him for 6-10 months or so before you get on your feet?

I've been trying to get back on my feet for well over a year and have had little luck. I would hope wherever he goes I might be able to visit from time to time.

Bummer man. Shit, he looks pretty close to my female, though she has something else mixed in with her. They make great dogs. Too bad I can't take on a second.

I'd die before I gave up my dog.

I feel for you - when animals dont get along it really becomes a safety and health issue for them. Hope you find a home for him, or even someone that can board him for you.

I'm concerned for my moms dog not mine....she has a little 15lb Bishon piss monster that pees on everything...and he thinks he's Godzilla. He constantly tries to attack my 55lb border collie (nevermind that he can't even break the skin) when he walks by, but I'm afraid that one day my dog is going to respond back by eating the little fucker whole. It is really bothering my mother and since I'm in her home I need to suck it up and deal with it.

edit: and yes it was difficult to leave the "does she like peanut butter" card on the table.

                          god bless.

Wish I could help but I already have a great dane and a cocker spaniel. Good luck and I hope you can figure something out for him.

Man, this has been bothering me. If I was still in a house I would take him even if it was just temporary until you got back on your feet. In fact, that would be the way I would prefer it. I hate to see animals seperated from their people. (Not a dig on you, I understand your predicament)
