    Have you tried any of the local BC rescues? Folks like this might be able to help...and screen to make sure he gets a good home - http://www.bcrescuetexas.org/

    Not trying to make you feel worse, but as smart as these dogs are...after 8-years, he is going to miss you more...and it could effect his personality.

    I too have an 8-year old border collie...can't imagine what you're going through having to make this decision....my sympathy goes out to you....best of luck.

          Man, Id take him for you or atleast keep in for awhile for you but with two dachsunds that are laid back. But My new born and 2 dogs and two othe kids is enough in this house haha.


          Ill run it by my dad and step mom. They have a border collie now and some other mut.
