          There is nothing more damaging to moral than being killed for your country with no hope of making the other guy die for his. How insulting is that? Your BEST hope is to destroy their machinery? This is how we must deal with insurgents. Just wipe them out, exterminate them.

            Agreed, but you know that no politician will buy into this, and that is part, if not most of the problem. Since the Revolution, we have used guerilla warfare extremely well, but never had much success against others using it. And of course the other issue - shoot an insurgent, his buddy picks up dead rag's rifle, and we have just killed a "civilian".

            If anyone wants to know how to deal with Muslims in warfare, read about Black Jack Pershing.
