Oh and on the VW, at least you get free donuts while it's in for service. Surely they've improved quality since they started making money hand over fist but there have been 3 in my household and none of them could ever go more than 90 days without going in for something unscheduled. Sunroof tracks, seat tracks, window regulators, whatever the EPC solenoid is, etc... If you bought a manual transmission with a n/a 2.0, with manual windows and no sunroof it'd probably be a decent car though.
Everyone says VWs suck. I guess I have the only one Hans built that has never had a problem... I drive the fucken wheels off it too. It makes roughly 250 hp and 300 lbs feet tq and I never drive it like a sane person. I drive it harder than my Vettes and that's sayin something. 28k on the clock and I just bought out the lease. Loved car so much got my fiance to get a CC which has same drivetrain as my gti. Had CC a month and its been perfect too. I'd go to Boardwalk (giving cars away- got mine under invoice) and ask for a bare bones Jetta. With 0.9 percent int or a lease u can get it under 200 a month easy. I think the national sale is 179 lease with 2k down and ttl which should be where u want to be before negotations...

Estimated 35 city and 45 hwy on the sticker. Currently it says 37 in the car.

Plus warranty and free 6 month serius or w/e it's called.

I've driven the piss out of my GTI without issue. The only warranty issue I need to get addressed is a small trim piece in the interior.

The newer hyundai's and kia's are nice, but the dealer support is supposedly a weak spot. I like the fiesta and would drive one for a little commuter car. Maybe a used fusion?

Focus. New ones are sweet. My mom just bought a 2011 SES they had sitting on the lot, brand new for right at 18k. Gets steady 30+ mpg and the sync is really kickass.

Buy my truck, $4k 25mpg in town. It would take you a LONG time to get your money's worth in a new car compared to something used.

You should break the mold and get one those FIAT 500s that are hitting the US markets here soon. They even have a turbo model.

you guys have weird thoughts... I have yet to have a problem with my 7 year old jetta. Apart from a fuse blowing out, the car has run flawlessly.

Stereotypes reign supreme over actuality in here. The only problem my GTI had was an ECU issue that was fixed for free way out of warranty. I know the dude I sold it to and it now has 150k miles on it and he hasn't had an issue with it at all. Late 90's and very early 2000 VW's do have some electrical gremlins here and there, but I've yet to talk to someone that owns one less than 7 or 8 years old that's had any major issues at all.

Just bought this Honda CRZ. I had a GMC Sierra 1500 SLT full 4 door loadad leather etc etc...
Got tired of 88 dollar fill ups every 4 days! This is s Hybrid,electric/gas. 35/41 gas mileage! My GMC was getting 14.6 average.(stock GMC 5.3l)

Paid 23k plus TTL. Has the nav package, touch screen as well. Rides like a much bigger car.It will not set any records at the strip, but what the hell.....it will run 100+ down the interstate. It holds 10 gallons of gas!
The Honda Civic Hybrid beats this one to hell on mileage!!! civic numbers are 44/44. Salesman says it actually does better.

Yes Yes I looked at the new Fords,Chevys and any american car that comes close in gas mileage. None drive quieter or ride better than the Hondas.
