  • so i made it out there yesterday with a couple friends...

pulled up and there must have been at least 20-25 cars in the drive through out in the street, not sure how many snaking through the parking lot. pulled up to the actual building and it was packed inside, line was right at the door. at first was like 'fuck this' but asked a guy walking out how long it took to get his food and he said from the time he got in line till the time he got his food it was 25mins. figured what the hell and parked. the line went by pretty quickly and my time from getting in line to getting food was about 20mins

now the burger was pretty good, but not worth all the hype. you can easily get an equally good/fresh burger at other burger places. like others have said, the fries were fucking shitty. they had no fry salt on them and even though they came out hot from the fryer when i got them, they went cold before i finished the burger and almost ruined the experience. for real! how could a place that makes pretty good burgers make fries that bad??

now i'm not sure if it was because i hadn't eaten in 9 hours or what, but the double double didn't really fill me up. if i could go back i would have gotten 2 double doubles and no fries, i would have enjoyed it a lot more!

once the one off lovers & 75 opens up and the crowd dies down, i'll eat there again... but i sure as fuck won't be getting fries! lol

oh yea i forgot to mention, the sweet tea and pink lemonade was very good!

    • Personally, I like the simplicity of their fries. They taste like potato's! They are very simple... sliced potato's that are fried in oil. The don't have all the added bullshit that all the other FF joints do, sugar, preservatives, etc. I also like the fact they leave adding salt to the customer, if I want them salty I can make them as salty as I want myself.

I bet if you leave an INO fry under your seat for a couple weeks it will actually decompose, not look like you could still eat it.

Still not worth all the hype, but I like their style.

A year after i bought my car i took the seats out to shampoo the carpets and there was a fry under one of the seats. I know it wasn't from me because i HATE eating in my car. It still looked fresh lol.

I love In 'n' Out's fries. They remind me of the homemade fries my dad used to make when he grilled burgers and hot dogs when i was a kid.

There's another one going up at Coit and 635, that may be a little closer for you.

I wasn't sure where you worked, just throwing it out there. You're not the only one on the board that may be looking for a closer location.

                      Man Mike you pretty much sumed up my exact opinion. Im a fry lover and to me if you can't make a tasty fry to go with your tasty hamburger, something ain't right. Now not all is lost thpough, at my I&O in Allen there is a McDs and Whatabuger next door who's fries are much better so I guess I can run through their drive through for fries. As far as price they win hands down over all my order was as follows;
                      2 - 2x3 animal style
                      1 - 1x1
                      2 - flying dutchmans
2 - fries (well done and they still sucked)
                      1 - coke (lrg)
                      1 - shake (chocolate)
                      = $18.xx

The shake was OK, it was like Whataburgers shake, not as good as Braums...

                            • The fries are the best part! If you want salty battered potato dust formed in the shape of a sliced potato, try Wendy's.

I haven't been to an INO in Texas yet. I like them, but there is no way I'm waiting over 10 minutes for a basic cheeseburger from any place.
