I would think if he was going to lie about his join date he would have just reset it back to the original. Also a huge personality change, if you're correct. For the worse. I actually liked talking with MD and had a measure of respect for him, though our views were frequently different.


For the record, I'm not 100% convinced myself on The King/ Paladin connection, but fuck, they sure as hell could be brothers.

The way I look at it, is that Paladin was somewhat restrained. The King is what Paladin would be if he could actually post all the babble in his head without it affecting his possible job security. Just an FYI, the King did say something about doing contract work in the 80's and doing some type of work with surveying land and made it sound like he did something in that field still. I don't think he is Paladin.

Hook 'Em is actually a pretty good guess, that I hadn't thought of because I hadn't seen the name in so long. There are some things that line up also.
