No worries... and for what it's worth. If it were me, I wouldn't let this go another day. If the adjuster won't return your call, go over their head and remain on hold/on the phone until you get that authorization granted.

Oh, and this wreck made me look at our policies and make adjustments to them; everything on the cars is maxed out now so in the future there shouldn't be any more problems. Next I just have to go through the homeowners policy....
Just one more recommendation.. Call Juggs and give her your business. She will make sure you are squared away.

I would if I was having problems with my insurance company. They have actually been great since day one ( I have USAA ). All the BS is coming from the woman's company that hit me. But, I did expect all this BS when my wife was hit because I know how insurance companies can be.
I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

I can understand sticking with USAA, I know a lot of people love them, I just like the piece of mind of having Kim in our corner.

If it's not broke, you certainly don't want to fix it! I'm glad you reviewed your coverage's. It's important to do so every year. It's TOO easy to forget what's there when you don't, and a persons needs change so fast that if you don't review it you could end up with a policy that doesn't do SHIT for you.

Glad I could help! Let me know what they say. If they give you any shit, I'll be happy to conference call them with you

When you go through your own insurance for an at fault wreck, they set up your rental benefits immediately. (when coverage is on the policy for it)
This is why I ALWAYS get my agent involved. After all this is what I pay them for.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Ya know what else? We're told/required to stay OUT of the claims process.

Wanna know what else else? Any agent that follows those rules is a pussy push over that works for the company and not the customer.

USAA was fantastic, until I filed for PIP reimbursement with them. It took them 6 months to pay it.
I'd recommend going with Motherjuggz...I'm in the process of switching over, because she rocks.

Also, you may want to look at going after their insurance company for diminished value. It's quite a bit of red tape, but was worth the effort.

                      lol, true dat.

Insurance companies will only pay around $25.00ish a day and at most a 30 day limit. Anything more/longer will have to be paid by the customer.

After all of the repairs are done to your liking and inspected by the adjuster, contact the adjuster and tell them you want to set up a diminished value claim.

Go to several dealerships, and get a quote for what they'd offer for your car with a clean autocheck and with the accident. Also have them write a quote for what they'd retail the car for clean and repaired.
Take the difference between all three of your clean quotes, and average them, then do the same with the wrecked quotes, and turn it in.

I asked for $4,500, they offered $1,500, and we settled on $3,500. They won't always approve it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

You must not have had all the paper work to them. As they have to pay you within 30 days.

Sec. 1952.156. PAYMENT OF BENEFITS. (a) Subject to the requirements of this section and Section 1952.157, an insurer shall pay benefits under the coverage required by this subchapter periodically as claims for those benefits arise, but not later than the 30th day after the date the insurer receives satisfactory proof of a claim.

I'm not surprised. Any agent that wants to stay in biz has to get involved. It's good that you will if asked.
