I have the receipt for the rental, I would think all I need to do is fax it to someone. I don't get why they are making it difficult. Thanks for the clarification, Juggz!
Oh, and this wreck made me look at our policies and make adjustments to them; everything on the cars is maxed out now so in the future there shouldn't be any more problems. Next I just have to go through the homeowners policy....

When you go through your own insurance for an at fault wreck, they set up your rental benefits immediately. (when coverage is on the policy for it)

Wanna know what else else? Any agent that follows those rules is a pussy push over that works for the company and not the customer.Originally posted by VertnutI'd run my junk through a waffle iron, if it makes you more "comfortable". LOL!

I'd recommend going with Motherjuggz...I'm in the process of switching over, because she rocks.
Also, you may want to look at going after their insurance company for diminished value. It's quite a bit of red tape, but was worth the effort.

Go to several dealerships, and get a quote for what they'd offer for your car with a clean autocheck and with the accident. Also have them write a quote for what they'd retail the car for clean and repaired.
Take the difference between all three of your clean quotes, and average them, then do the same with the wrecked quotes, and turn it in.
I asked for $4,500, they offered $1,500, and we settled on $3,500. They won't always approve it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

You must not have had all the paper work to them. As they have to pay you within 30 days.
Sec. 1952.156. PAYMENT OF BENEFITS. (a) Subject to the requirements of this section and Section 1952.157, an insurer shall pay benefits under the coverage required by this subchapter periodically as claims for those benefits arise, but not later than the 30th day after the date the insurer receives satisfactory proof of a claim.
