Perhaps it was my inexperience with polymer pistols, but I had only shot glocks when I bought my first one from a buddy, and the XD felt funny to me when I went shopping for a replacement after it was stolen.

I can understand someone not wanting a glock, but I cant understand how someone can call them a bad gun. I own 3 guns, all three are to protect me, and thats it. I dont care for shinny, pretty, fancy guns, I want a gun that shoots straight, and works, that is all.

More like 3 Sigmas to every 1 hand gun for other brands lol, at least that was my experience from being behind the gun counter at the NRH academy for 3 years. I just shook my head every time someone wanted one of those pieces of shit. We might have sold a couple Glocks a week.

You worked there? I use to be in there often back when I worked over there. I always saw you selling the hell out of those Taurus PT111's.

We sold lots of those too, I worked there while I was in school at UTA from 05-08.

              • Our department issues Sig 229Rs. The majority of the guys carry Glocks off-duty.

                • I haven't read all of this thread, because I'm drunk. I have owned multiple glocks and still own 3, and have never had a fail to feed or fail to eject. A few fail to fire but those would have to be blamed on the cheap caps.

                  • Ours issues sig 226's... I personally can't stand the 226. Luckily once I got on swat I was allowed to purchase a glock. Got a 35 and love it. One of three glocks I own. Glock v xdm... Boy tough! I love both! Most ofcrs at my department carry a 27/26/36 off duty. To each there own, but I wouldn't be surprised if dacotua's comment was close on the glock market.
