    When the zombies come, ammo will be the new currency. It should be about as follows:

    .22lr = $1
    9mm = $5
    .45 = $7
    5.56 = $20
    7.62x39 = $25
    7.62x54R = $15

    All other ammos will vary. heh

    People are in a panic. First they buy out all the .223, then they buy out the 9mm, then for .45, wash and repeat, wash and repeat...

    This will take several months to settle down..

    Went to Academy mesquite today at lunch. No .223, 9mm or 22. Only bird loads of 12G

    I did get a box of .45 auto though, they had about 40 boxes left. They are only letting you buy one box of each type of round, maximum 3 boxes.

    Bass Pro Garland was out of all handgun ammo pretty much. I did get some of the last boxes of rifled slugs and 00 buck.

    I was laughing at all the "odd" round ammo they had after thinking .223 would never run out.

    Can't find any more 525 boxes of .22lr here, they have plenty of 22winmag though.

    the big5 by me has 100rd boxes of 380 and 9mm for like 45$

    I overheard the guy at the Walmart gun counter telling another customer that there was just a shortage and that they were not going to stop selling ammo. Needless to say the shelves were empty except for shotgun ammo.

    Odd, I have bricks of .22LR but I only have 2 rifles that shoot it. I rarely shoot the stuff lol, only when family members want to shoot guns, but not the "icky dangerous assault rifles"

    lol, I guess as long as they are interested in shooting, I always have room for improvement.

    A Walmart rep said that they would not stop selling ammo. I don't know why the employees are saying stuff.

    My wal mart has bare shelves right now. I've got almost 3 cases of 9mm right now but always check there out of habit when grocery shopping

    Ahh. I haven't been back since I heard the rumor, but the shelves were bare each time I went, the only things they had were really odd types and stupidly expensive stuff. I was shocked I couldn't even get 22lr, .410 and 20 gauge the last time I stopped by.

    And I have been having issues getting enough 22lr to play with, I wish I would have picked up more a long time ago, but figured like everyone else that it would be easy to always get.

    The Walmart in Cedar Hill had five Winchester 9mm 115g FMJ 100 round boxes this morning at $22..97 each. Important word here is "had", as I bought two boxes and some old guy bought the other three after me.

    The sales associate there repeated the story that Walmart was suspending all ammo sales.

    Right now I can't give you any idea, it's sold out everywhere. But check the reloading forum, I have a sticky of the best suppliers I use.
