But even the 400-500fps bolt guns will barely shoot 100yrds (effective range like you hit when aim and you pull the trigger)

not counting bullshit like spraying high and arcing them in via 'kentucky windage'

I thought I might get into it one day since i used to play paint. never did and sold my gun.
i never really liked how they weren't very loud, kind boring. atleast the guns were shaped a bit more 'fun' than paintball markers are.

paint is nasty messy and expensive too. everyone plays like it's a g/d dodgeball game too.
Oh, and the bolt actions will hit 100yards, when you have a 550fps rifle with a .28-.34 gram weight 6mm bb.

The last Bulldog op I made it to in 09. We were the freedom fighters. Was a blast.

No comment on what the normal procedure for being "out" is once you get shot?

Sorry didn't read ur post. Your gunna love this, I can see the nastygrams already lol. It's an honor system. U get shot, u are dOwn. Await a medic or call urself KIA. then you walk to a dead zone an replenish ammo, hydrate, etc. A ref will then give the ok for all in the dead zone to return to their squad. If u lie u will be kicked from the game. Since most are honest, it's easy to see who's not calling there hits. It surprisingly works. Most people have a bunch of money on the line when the attend a big op so they don't cheat. Your reputation is shot as well amongst the planners and squads.

LOL. That's pretty awesome. Ever have guys commit suicide when they're really thirsty and out of water?

Lol yes. I forgot to go into detail about a medic. If your shot, you put a red shop rag on ur head to simulate out of play. A medic, which is previously determined during the first day's briefing, will attempt to make ur location. If he does, he was originally given a set number of "bandages". If the medic thinks ur worth reviving, he'll tie a bandage arouond ur arm and ur are (return to duty) RTD. If you die alot, or ur the Pilbury Dough Boy in Ranger gear, like above pic, he'll ignore you. THere are other ways of Medic too. Another is each medic was given a electronic device, like a Palm pilot. He makes contact with the shot person, then hits a button on his palm to rendomly select a fate. RTD would mean u put ur dead rag up and go back to the game, Wounded means u walk to the dead zone and touch in, and KIA where u goto kill zone and wait for the timed clock to ding you back into play.

I even saw this in Paintball tournements. Kids shoot themselves because they are scared and ddont like to be the one left along vs the other team.
