Anderson fought there 5 times out of his 35 total fights. PRIDE is not responsible for Anderson Silva.

Sorry, I didn't know that would be taken literally. He lost twice in five fights in pride, he's lost once in 14 fights in UFC. If anything I'd say he probably learned more in PRIDE if anything.

Rich Franklin is what made Anderson Silva, seeing him dodge and weave was not something seen in the UFC before on that level, let alone rearrange Franklins face ( I respect Rich and I hope he gets 1 more fight with Anderson now that hes back in the right division ). Watching him destroy Irvin and Forrest was incredible.

The reason I think Fedor is hyped is because he turned down fights, regardless of the reasons and only picked ones he could win. I have a lot of respect for Cro Cop even though he lost to mediocre heavy weights and his wins are over chumps, I have respect for him because he didn't turn down fights. Fedor could have made Strikeforce by simply fighting Overeem. Even when he would have lost, he wouldn't have lost his hype. More people come to his rescue on his losses to explain why than any other fighter.

And that's primarily my reason for my Fedor distaste as well.

Fedor turned down fights, or M1 Global turned down fights? There's a difference.

Until last year, nobody was explaining shit about Fedor's losses, because there weren't any.

Very true. Fedor doesn't even belong to himself. He is/was a national treasure and property of his government. Just another soldier being taken advantage of using his patriotic duty and religion against him. M1 Global is merely a front for the russian government who trying to get ownership percentage on a big American company.

Fedors promotion represents him, he is not a piece of meat owned by them. Alistair dropped his bullshit representative because they were pulling similar shit. They had ridiculous demands, and Dana White even said:

"One day I said fuck it, and agreed to their crazy demands including the co-promotion, then they started adding even more shit."

Why did M1 Global keep doing this? Because they knew if he lost in the UFC his 'hype' would be over.

If Fedor was a fighter he would've said fuck it lets do this, now its too late.

Mark Hunts a true fighter, Dana White offered to buy out his contract and his remaining fights and Mark Hunt said fuck that I want to work for that money.

Let me clarify, I respect and worship Fedor as much as the next guy, but I do not think he deserve the title best of all time in his prime when he defeated GARBAGE. Every time he fought and lost in Strikeforce I was crossing my fingers he would win.

                  In this video ( http://vimeo.com/42174849 ) was posted here -> http://www.dfwmustangs.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=29787

Chael discusses Pride fixing fights by coming into individual locker rooms before the fight and paying off fighters to take dives without the competitor knowing or paying off both competitors.

This is also discussed as to why pride fighters that were so very successful in pride were such failures in the UFC

And he also beat Kevin Randleman, Josh Barnett (twice), etc. If you don't think that Cro Cop was dangerous at that point, then you're fucking stoned.

The transition from Ring to cage, along with the different rules is not something that comes easily to some fighters, so the Kongo fight wouldn't exactly be "in his prime".

These are some impressive fighters he's destroying.
Big Nog isn't impressive? It's very apparent that you have no idea what the fuck goes on in a fight.

Personal attacks totally make your points valid and I am truly impressed with your arguments. Thanks for the legitimate reasoning and clearly superior deduction being demonstrated by your opinion.

Why would I waste the time writing a novel about any of those single issues with your statements, when you've already made up your mind?

Quite simply, if you think that Big Nog isn't an impressive fighter, then your opinion means very little to me.

First off, the guy hadn't been finished in 45 fights, against a lot of strong opponents. You can now say what you want about all of those opponents, but ultimately, he's a tough son of a bitch. He's also one of 4 people to beat Barnett.

I guess ultimately, I need to know what your fighter barometer is, since apparently Fedor is only slightly above mediocre, Cro Cop in his prime wasn't that dangerous and the heavyweight division has been filled with 'cans' for years.

If Brock was to have as many fights as Fedor,Silva,Crocop or any other that he has mentioned Brock would lose more than he wins. Its not like the whole division doesnt know what his game is or where the holes in it.
