I have no idea. I went in and checked the post, and it works fine on any PC I check them on. For some reason the iPhone hates me.

Make sure it has the cruise control recall done-pretty sure it effected that year also. Many trucks have burned to the ground while sitting in the garage

I had it done in my 93 and my 99.

The problem is in the cruise control disable switch-- the switch resides on top of the master cylinder and it has a diaphragm which is actuated by brake fluid when you pump your brakes. This closes the connection in the switch and disables your cruise control when you hit the brakes. But the switch is fault and in many vehicles can allow brake fluid to seep past the diaphragm and short the terminals on the switch which can/will spark and cause a fire. Ford's solution is to put a fuse on the power wire to this switch so that if it DOES short, the fuse will blow and kill the power, hopefully preventing the fire from starting.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check on it.

On the advice of a board memeber, instead of removing the grill, I got some fine sandpaper and Krylon FUSION satin gloss paint.

I taped it off and sprayed it last night, and here's how it looks now:

Wow, that's the first time I've seen a red interior in a 97+ ford truck. You did a good job, btw.

Ford calls it "Cordova Red". I call it "Porno Red", but not in front of the wife.

Here's a pic of it cleaned up with tire black:
