The guy is laying in the street, obviously hurt with cops lined up behind a barricade about 10 feet away. some other protesters came to his aid and a cop fired a flash grenade right at him with the crowd around him.

Straight the fuck up, wrong.
They are also in Oakland . I am shocked anyone was trying to help him. Could have been a plot to gain ground again! We will have none of this! Just kidding of course.

Ok...but what about the original incident?

If you have been ordered to leave due to a court order you do not have the constitutional right to be there. This isn't some jack-booted cop giving an order on the fly, it was ordered from the city. They did not obey the lawful order to disperse.

So now local city courts can decide when people can excercise their constitutional rights?
No one said the cop wasnt ordered to be there but the problem is he used excessive force.

It's been that way for a long time. Most municipalities require that you have a permit to have an event. By the way, they view a large scale protest as an, "event," like a parade or a fair. There's actually some pretty good reasoning for doing things this way, but I doubt anyone on this website wants to hear it.

I know all about the permits, I remember them talking about them with the occupy dallas situation weeks ago. The problem is, everyone accepts all the red tape being put all over our rights and say its ok.
Ill say it again, I dont agree with their messege, whatever the hell it is but my problem is with city, state and federal authorities stripping our rights away. Not to mention all the sheep that go along with it because they dont like the messege being communicated.
No video of it has surfaced, that I know of. I guess all is forgiven?
I'm just saying it's not like the cop intentionally shot the dude in the head (unless some evidence comes out). So why the big blow up for that? It was a bad accident that shouldn't have happened if A) the protestors would have left when told then B) if the cop would have paid attention how he was launching the grenade.
Now, preventing the people from aiding the guy, that's a different topic.

Occupy Dallas does not have permits for their protest. They're in violation of local laws and all of them should have been arrested.

If this was a peaceful organized demonstration it wouldn't be an issue. Instead there is massive destruction of property, massive littering, and now massive public health concerns do to these idiots pissing and shitting on the streets.
They are breaking the law and disobeying an order from the city. They should be arrested. If any of us went there by ourselves, set up a tent, tossed our paper plates and McRib wrappers on the ground, pissed and shat in the bushes, we would get cuffed and stuffed with a quickness, for good reason. They shouldn't get special treatment.

So hand out tickets, isnt that what cops do best? Your really going to gear up for littering?

Hmm, let me quote myself since you missed it the first time:

Would YOU be okay with being the cop walking through a large mob of people committing numerous crimes and having to arrest them for failing to follow an order in nothing but a cotton shirt? I have always had the opinion that you were smarter than that.
