To his credit if memory serves correctly he was usually very good for 5 innings. Problem is he taxes the bullpen if he can only pitch 5...

He was horrible. No candy coating anything. He had maybe one quality start but was absolutely pounded in the majority of them. Giving up 13 hits in 5 1/3 innings on multiple occasions should put you back in Triple A much less the bullpen. He has no reason at all to bitch. The Rangers are in a pennant chase and can't be fucking around with guys who think they deserve something because of past merits. My next demotion would be Holland if he doesnt get serious real quick.

Same problem the Phillies had with him last season. He'll give you five, maybe six good innings, then he gets hit.
They probably made this move to avoid him ending up on the DL with back issues like he did last season also.

In Oswalt's defense, he declined several opportunities given to him by the Rangers earlier in the year because they would not guarantee him a starting role. Evan Grant touched on this in an interview the other day. Oswalt said that we were 4-2 in his starts and I guess I should've been 6-0.

Dempster got shelled the other night, and will continue to get shelled (sorry guys). During that game, you could just see Oswalt shaking his head repeatedly. Holland is serving up BP on a every start basis now, I kinda agree. It is what it is, Oswalt was 4-2 when they sent him to the pen. I have to agree with Roy, let the veteran work.
