Just bought a 97 explorer intake!

i bought the upper and lower intake today. will it work fine on my 89gt? Will i run into any problems?

You will have to drill and tap the hole for the temp sensor in one of the lower runners

or can i relocate it to the bottom of the upper intake?

You can put it just about anywhere. The difference in temperature between the port in the lower intake and ambient air is negligible. See your other thread on the subject.
