Decided to go manual brakes on the car. Will allow so much space and weight to be freed up plus the ability to get more radical on the camshaft.
I'll be using the maximum motorsports kit with the upgraded brake pedal. They recommended a 15/16s bore master for easy pedal effort and 1in for a firmer feel.
I have the Baer t4 4 piston calipers with 13inch drilled / slotted rotors, cobra vented 11inch rear disk. Baer pads up front and some stock pads in the back. (Possibly upgrading to 13" rear rotors as well), adjustable proportion valve, removed the stock one. Of course steel braided hoses front and rear.
Anyone have personal feedback on manual brake pedal effort/feel?
It'll be around 2600lbs and with this brake set up it should stop well, just worried if my leg will cramp up before it stops rolling or not..
I've only had experience with a 98 cobra without the hydrobooster and it was scary... Having to downshift into first to get it to slow down, while attempting to push the seat studs out, wasn't my idea of a good time.
