Fuel cap issue

First of all, this is a '04 f150 and on the way to work today I got a "fuel cap" notification on the dash. When I get to work I noticed it was not on properly an completely. So I took it off and put it back on. Now the notification on the dash won't go off. Has anyone else had this happen?

Keep driving, it'll eventually go away.

Yes once you recieve the SES light it will go away after a few cycles. If it does not then I would change the fuel cap, since your gasket is probably worn out to begin with.

thanks. it went off sometime on the way home from work.
