Think my axle bearings are shot?

I had to move an RV for my dad over the weekend and I got a metallic sound coming from my rear end. Pulled it apart and the parking brake keeper tab came loose so that could be the sound I hear.

HOWEVER when I spin the axle it sound fairly rough. Think they are toast?
