  • timing chain gasket leak?

Is that what I am looking at here?

    5.4 2000 expedition.

The fluid coming out looks like really clean oil.

Looks like front crankshaft seal. Easy enough to fix.

I actually just found the leak.

What the hell is this doohikie.

It's on top of the engine and looks to have the heater hose running from it.

Ok. I am this far. How the hell do you get it off? Got all the bolts out, and this whole housing turns but it feels there is a guide or volt holding it in.

Is there something I have to do to the injector?

Son of a bitch. It is the whole damn manifold

Is It normally the manifold gasket, or the manifold itself?

Replace whole intake. its a commonly stocked item from what I understand. Comes with gaskets

yea I would upgrade if there is a better intake, since you already have it off. why not put a new one on and get better gas mileage and more HPss...something like that

I'm not mechanically inclined to know how to upgrade. This a pretty big job for me as it Is.

                      Here is the culprit.

Well with about 7 hours of actual work, finally finished this.

                        Fucking shitty plastic parts

I'm pretty sure the plugs hadn't ever been changed and the truck is at 270k miles.

Well from the inexperienced eyes, it looks like themetal tube coming from the otherside just unbolts. We got It all back together and it rain like shit on the test drive. Someone forgot to plug in an injector connection. That guy is an idiot.

                              Runs like a champ again.
